About the event

Celebrate the beauty of imperfection in this hands-on workshop, where you’ll learn the modern approach to the Japanese art of Kintsugi. This ancient practice transforms broken pottery into stunning works of art, embracing cracks as part of the object’s unique story.

Guided by an experienced conservator, you’ll explore the philosophy and history of Kintsugi while creating your own one-of-a-kind ceramic piece. For safety, a pre-broken ceramic bowl/plate will be provided, and you’ll use modern techniques to repair it, crafting a beautiful and meaningful creation inspired by this traditional practice.

Leave with a deeper appreciation for this therapeutic art form and your own handmade Kintsugi creation to proudly display at home.

(Please note: finished pieces are decorative and not food-safe.)
